A lovely black/brown course mountain fleece and Balwen means “White blaze” in Welsh. Balwen is perfect for peg loom rug making. Can be spun for throws and may also have some wonderful colour variation. This is not a wearable fleece if spun, its rugged texture would be better for throws etc. Native to Wales Balwen can be part of black core wool for needle felting and any craft which wants to use Welsh wool and support Wales.
